From AR city tours to voice assistants for publishers to digital comic makers – Batch IX of the next Media Accelerator (nma) had a great mix to offer. On December 18, 2019, the team of media + more venture traveled to Hamburg again to experience the demo day at the event venue KNUST. The startups presented their business model in front of potential investors and cooperation partners from the media industry and the public. Peter Tschentscher, First Mayor of the Freien und Hansestadt Hamburg, also came to get to know the seven startups from eight different nations. Of particular note is that 70 percent of the teams have at least one female co-founder. The positive developments of the participating startups can be traced back to comprehensive coaching as well as expert advice on the respective business ideas. The evening ended with a get-together and we are thankful for the invitation!
